About Us

Erin's Story....

In 1994, Erin embarked on a career in the pet care field. First as a kennel assistant, and later as a receptionist and veterinary assistant, Erin discovered a passion for providing excellent care for the pets at a veterinary clinic. An impromptu meeting with local pet care professional, Wanda Tucker, provided her with an opportunity to expand her knowledge and offer in-home pet care service through Paws For a Break Pet Care. Over the span of 10 years, Erin offered personalized and knowledgeable service to clients and their pets, and discovered her talent for understanding animal behaviour. With a desire to expand on that talent, Erin founded A Balanced Pack with intent to focus on help pet owners better understand the psychology of their pets.

Now entering her 24th year in the pet care field, Erin has helped innumerable clients care for their pets from the intense demands of puppies & kittens, through to the active adult years, and eventually the challenges that often occur during the senior years. She has experience with a wide range of behavioural and medical conditions including: separation anxiety, renal disease, diabetes, epilepsy, arthritis, obesity and anorexia. Erin welcomes opportunities to continue sharing her knowledge and expertise with clients in order to help them build better relationships with their pets.
